COMMISSIONS
Original Work,
Made for a Place,
a Story,
or an Idea.
WHAT I CREATE
SCULPTURE
Original sculpture created for private collections, businesses, organizations, and distinctive spaces.
Working primarily with metal and reclaimed materials, I create one-of-a-kind pieces that explore form, material, texture, and transformation.
SITE-SPECIFIC WORK
Some spaces call for something made specifically for them.
Site-specific sculpture and installations are developed in response to the architecture, landscape, surroundings, and story of a particular place.
The space becomes part of the work.
CUSTOM METALWORK
My background as a fabricator is at the heart of how I approach metal.
I create custom metal pieces that combine skilled fabrication with an artistic approach to form, material, and function.
Whether the finished work is sculptural, architectural, or somewhere in between, each piece is made specifically for its purpose and place.
A COLLABORATIVE PROCESS
Every commission begins with a conversation.
You may have a clear idea, a particular space, a material you love, or simply know that you want something original.
Together, we explore the possibilities and develop a direction that feels right for you and the space the work will occupy.
My background as a fabricator allows me to approach each project with both creative and technical experience, from the early concept through to the finished piece.
FROM IDEA TO FINISHED WORK
01 — THE CONVERSATION
Every commission begins with a conversation.
We'll talk about your idea, the space, your goals, and what you would like the finished work to bring to the experience.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Sometimes the best place to begin is simply with an idea.
02 — THE CONCEPT
From our conversation, I begin developing the possibilities.
Depending on the project, this may include sketches, material exploration, scale, form, and consideration of how the work will exist within its intended space.
The concept develops through conversation and collaboration before the making begins.
03 — THE MAKING
Once the concept is approved, the work moves into the studio.
This is where fabrication, experimentation, and material transformation come together.
My experience as a fabricator allows me to work directly with the materials, solving technical challenges while allowing the artistic process to remain part of the making.
04 — THE FINISHED WORK
The final piece is prepared for its intended setting, whether that is a private collection, business, organization, architectural space, or outdoor environment.
Where appropriate, installation and site considerations are discussed as part of the project from the beginning.
EVERY COMMISSION IS DIFFERENT
There isn't a set formula for creating something original.
A project might begin with a sketch, a photograph, a meaningful story, a particular material, or simply a conversation about what you'd like to see.
I enjoy discovering the possibilities within each project and finding the right balance of form, material, scale, and meaning.
READY TO TALK?
You don't need to have everything figured out before you reach out.
If you have an idea, a space, or simply want to explore what might be possible, I'd love to hear about it.
Every project starts with a conversation.
